Re: Problems changing folder to inbox with Courier 0.46

Sorry for the lateness of this reply; I found this in my postponed
folder (which I haven't looked at in a while....) I don't think the
patch mentioned was applied, or this would be completely irrelevant,
rather than mostly irrelevant.

Since that this is from four months ago, I probably trimmed too much.
Oops. Let's see...the problem was that if one tries to change to the
folder "=" with a Courier imap server it used to work (possibly with
different kind of server) and now doesn't.

I would guess because no-one expected anyone to try to refer to a
mailbox consisting solely of the path to the mailboxes. "=" wasn't
originally supposed to be a mailbox; when you refer, say, to "=sent",
that gets translated into something like"/path/to/mailbox/sent". It
just so happened that the way the namespace is set up in imap, "="
means something. Well, almost; courier now adheres more closely to
the spec, and the strange thing you were doing no longer works. ;-)

The "normal" thing to do would be to change to the folder "!", I
think.

What I said in the previous paragraphs notwithstanding, I have no
objection to it.
