I've recompiled Mutt with --enable-debug, and it seems that when a
new message is received, the mailbox is completely reparsed. I have
lots of lines of the form
mh.c:725: parsing 1097975661.22732_0.ay.vinc17.org
then a few lines with "parse_parameters:"/"parse_parameter:", then
lots of lines of the form
mh.c:741 maildir_add_to_context(): Considering 1097975661.22732_0.ay.vinc17.org
