Most Mutters don't use IMAP, so no, it hasn't been attacked any further
AFAIK.

I believe that's the case, since Mutt is single-threaded, so there'd
be no way for Mutt to fetch the rest of the messages in the background
while displaying the current screenful ... unless you mean for Mutt to
fetch the currently-visible messages only, and wait for you to scroll
before fetching more (which to me at least would be far more annoying,
since I tend to keep my Mutt open for over a month at a time, now that
I have my IMAP keepaliver working flawlessly). . .
