I don't understand the blindness toward facts evidenced even here.
Some details are not in dispute: The "mass-gathering permit" is
required for events with over 250 attendees that will last longer
than 12 hours. The event in question was publicly advertised as
taking place from 9:00pm until 6:30am (clearly less than 12 hours).
It doesn't take a judge to figure out that the Sheriff's claim about
raiding the event because of the lack of such a permit is specious,
and without that claim they appear to have no legitimate reason for
conducting the raid.
