[IP] more on google helps burglers

Now combine this with the route maps for some cities that tell you how to
get from point a to b without video surveillance and you have a useful tool.

It's not a new feature; it's been around for almost 2 years
and it's actually better for stalkers than burglars. Burgulars
won't necessarily know your phone number but a woman could
give her phone number to a bloke in a pub one night and say
"Call me" and find him swinging in her window the next.

It's also time to get used to things like this and protect
yourself. We won't be able to keep all information out of the
public domain but we do somethings -- for instance, you don't
have to bother with Google (beacuse there will be others);
just have an unlisted number, they don't show up -- and lock
the doors and windows.

Reading David Brin's "The Transparent Society" is a good start
in the area of educating ourselves to the possibilities of
having no privacy in things like this.
