[alac-admin] RE: Nomination to NomCom

Thank you for your email.  The At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) has asked the At-Large Structures, and groups that have applied for ALS certification, to recommend an individual from their region to serve as an At-Large delegate to the Nominating Committee.  The ALAC is responsible for appointing 5 delegates to the Nominating Committee -- one from each geographic region.  The ALAC will confirm that the individuals recommended by the At-Large Structures and applicants are willing and qualified to serve, and will appoint the delegates. 
 
The organizations in Africa that will be making the recommendation for your region are Moroccan Internet Society, Anais.AC, Sudan Internet Society, and ISOC-DRC. Information on these organizations can be found at  http://www.alac.icann.org/applications/.   Information on the Nominating Committee can be found at  http://www.icann.org/committees/nom-comm/nc2004/faqs.htm.
