You NEED to do as advised, use the man pages and go thru your ~/.muttrc.

the 'set folder=' you tried to use *might* have worked as:
"imaps://user:password@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
but *you* will have to try and see and "Read The Fine Manual"
