It seems that the client part of SASL of your local machine has no
authentication mechanisms available. You can confirm it by executing
command "pluginviewer" and looking for the line "Installed SASL (client
side) mechanisms are:". And in my system, this outputs the following
related parts:
Installed SASL (client side) mechanisms are:
GSSAPI NTLM LOGIN ANONYMOUS PLAIN DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 EXTERNAL
Maybe you need to reinstalled your SASL system.
