IMAP and local folders in mutt

Hi,
I am currently using IMAP in mutt, by setting 
set folder=imaps://server:993/

the problem that I am facing is that when i try to attach a file and browse the 
list, it tries to attach the chosen file from the imap server, rather than the 
local machine. Is there anyway I can make it look for the file on the local 
machine ?
