<backspace> (scrollup> does not more work...

Hello,

I have customized my ~/.Xresources/XTerm and now I can not more use
the <backspace> key to scroll up.  <enter> for scroll down works.
mutt tell me the Key is not used, but if I hit ? it is there and if
I use Xev it is there too...

Same for <CTRL><LEFT> and <CTRL><RIGHT> (which should jump from one
word to another).

Does anyone know, which setting (in XTerm) is responsable for this
behaviour?

Note:  I am using mcedit as my $EDITOR and it works in the Console.
       which mean, it is definitivly an error in XTerm config.
