Resizing is something that I rarely do; I imagine the same holds true 
for most people. Anyway, mutt's IMAP code is kinda fragile and touchy, 
so I'm unsurprised that it doesn't survive resizing well. I suggest 
you file a bug at http://bugs.mutt.org
