Wouldn't a Sendmail Consortium sendmail binary be _at least_ twice
that size? Does your system have some kind of "/etc/mailer.conf"
file that directs the system to where the "real" binary resides?
You might look there to get some more hints about what's happening.
(Also, what is that asterisk at the end? Never seen that before.)
