How much bigger does the nntp patch make mutt?

Gzipped, the vvv.nntp patch ( patch-1.5.11.vvv.nntp.gz at
<http://mutt.org.ua/download/mutt-1.5.11/> ) is 54k.  But does anyone
know how much bigger it would make mutt when it's unzipped and added
on and fully deployed?

I've asked my ISP to make available a mutt with the patch, and someone
-- not staff -- has been telling me that the addition of the nntp patch
would cause mutt to be bloated and overloaded and hard to maintain.  I'm
wondering how true that is.
