Yes, if you're getting by using mutt's pop client, you can set these
variables on muttrc:

set pop_host="pop.host.com"
set pop_user="username"
set pop_pass="password"
set pop_delete=no

Note the 'pop_delete' variable.
I personally like to use fetchmail to get the mail from the pop server,
and use mutt only for reading it.
