Account Hooks

Grtz all!

Doing some reading on mutt.org and and other resources & came across
these:

http://www.mutt.org/doc/manual/manual-4.html#ss4.12

In there, 'account-hooks' are discussed.

But another fascinating concept; namely 'profiles' is mentioned here:

http://www.acoustics.hut.fi/~mara/mutt/profiles.html 

I'm wondering if profiles should be used *with* account hooks, or if
the two concepts are mutually exclusive.

Has anyone got experience of using one (or both) of the above? and
whether they would share their experience of how simple (or not) it
was to deploy and use either or both.
