Collapsed Threads and Status Flags

Hi all,

I am running Mutt 1.4.1i (2003-03-19). 

I have a default folder-hook set to sort by threads and collapse all threadsi.

e.g. folder-hook . set sort=threads
     folder-hook . push "<collapse-all>"

I have noticed that the first message of the thread does not have a 'status' 
flag
indicating that it is a 'collapsed thread'. 

Is it possible to have a status flag for collapsed threads ?

When all threads are collapsed, I can no longer tell which messages are a 
thread.

I have googled and looked through the mutt manual, but have had no luck.
