In most cases, it's safe to use a '\n' to separate commands. You "should"
use semicolons instead under most circumstances, but when a function
normally asks the user to type something at the terminal ("What would
you like to pipe the message to?"), I don't believe it'll recognize a
semicolon as the end of input.
