Is urlview broken?

My working mutt system normally allows '^b' to bring up a list of urls
contained in the message being viewed and selecting one calls urlview to pop
up the browser and access the site.

Yesterday this stopped and this error comes up

' Executing: url_handler.sh: (valid url here)
sh: line 2: url_handler.sh: command not found
Press any key to continue '

Looking at /etc/urlview/url_handler.sh shows a normal bash script with
line2 a blank. - - I'm lost.

Running Debian sarge with kernel 2.4.21 and
        mutt 1.5.4i
        urlview 0.9-10
        bash 2.05b-12

/bin/sh is symlinked to bash.

Checked and changed config's, restart all the programs, even rebooted the
blasted machine :-(
Also googled the error message, now there is a good way to get sidetracked.

If this an FAQ please point me to it.

Any other sugestions appreciated.
