With a simple % test if you are online or offline you could start an scp if you klick on % view an attachment. Hey, that sounds pretty slick. And since he said he wants to copy down from the server to his desktop he must therefore be online, so you don't even need the test script. Maybe have the macro touch a flag file which the test script would check instead...
