Check also the online documentation at http://www.mutt.org/ including
the faq at wiki.mutt.org.
One thing you might want to do is set the $spoolfile variable.
Something like:
set spoolfile=~/Mail/
Actually, you might be better off setting $MAIL in your shell. I use
bash, and in my .bash_profile, I have:
export MAIL=$HOME/Maildir/
(note that the trailing slash in both cases will tell mutt that it is
a maildir folder, not mbox or some other format)
