Not without more information. Try this:

    1. What did you do?
    2. What did you expect the computer to do?
    3. What did the computer actually do?
    4. Were there any error messages?
    5. Can you break down the problem to anything more simple? (e.g. 
       does running fetchmail from a regular xterm work?)
