Just tried it here, (mutt 1.5.12 on Mac OS X 10.4.8, MacBook Pro)
It appears that the -a flag is being missed and the arguments are
being parsed as email addresses. My test message, that was to attach
.mutt/muttrc and send it to my email em@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx came
though with the following To: header:
To: em@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, -a@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
".mutt/muttrc"@magnummac.co.nz
The man page does mention the attachment option:
-a file
Attach a file to your message using MIME.
Actually, just second guessing myself, I have now tried the -a flag
as the first argument for mutt:
[unity:~] 7:11pm bryan% echo "email data goes here" |
mutt -a .mutt/muttrc -s subject em@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
And it worked, woohoo.
