Default: no
When set, mutt will attempt to use the IMAP IDLE extension to check for
new mail in the current mailbox. Some servers (dovecot was the
inspiration for this option) react badly to mutt's implementation. If
your connection seems to freeze up periodically, try unsetting this.
3.126. message_cachedir
Type: path
Default: ""
Set this to a directory and mutt will cache copies of messages from your
IMAP and POP servers here. You are free to remove entries at any time,
for instance if stale entries accumulate because you have deleted
messages with another mail client.
