Strange. Just tried
color index brightblue default '~h "^Return-Path:.*mutt-users.+[7-9]="'
in my mutt-users box and it matches, as it should, eg. your
message opening this thread:
|Return-Path: owner-mutt-users+M4358=blacktrash=gmx.net@xxxxxxxx
^
ie. all message that have a number in range 7-9 before the first
`=' in Return-Path.
But it's probably wiser to use the spam command and ~H pattern
anyway.
