tmpdir directive

Hi. 

I was wondering why the tmp files that mutt creates stay around in /tmp. Is 
this something to expect, or is there something that mutt isn't doing to 
remove these temporary files after some operation is performed on the piece 
of mail?

I have tons of these in /tmp.
