    The procmail rules may be destructive for the original mail, and
fail in encoded CR cases. You can safely use a $display_filter instead,
static or on-demand. I use:

| macro index <F19> "<enter-command>unset display_filter<Enter>"
| macro pager <F19> "<enter-command>unset display_filter<Enter><exit>\
| <display-message>"
| macro index <F9> "<enter-command>set display_filter=\"tr -d \\r\"<Enter>"\
|       "filter display hiding spurious \^M"
| macro pager <F9> "<enter-command>set display_filter=\"tr -d \\r\"<Enter>\
| <exit><display-message>"      "filter display hiding spurious \^M"
