Did you set $move?

       6.3.117  move

       Type: quadoption

       Default: ask-no

       Controls whether you will be asked to confirm moving read messages from 
your
       spool mailbox to your ``$mbox (section 6.3.103  , page 84)'' mailbox, or 
as a
       result of a ``mbox-hook (section 3.11  , page 23)'' command.
