PGP and line endings

Hi,

i have a problem with mutt and pgp encrypted messages.
A traditional inline PGP encryted message with <CR><LF> line endings was
base64 encoded transmitted. :)

Now i cannot decrypt within mutt. After pressing <ESC>P and entering my
passphrase the message is not decrypted, only displayed like this:

-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----^M
Version: PGPsdk version 1.7.1 (C) 1997-1999 Network Associates, Inc. and
its affiliated companies.^M
[...]

So what can i do now? (I can decipher the message after decoding -- but
not automatically within mutt.)

(Mutt 1.5.4i (2003-03-19) and gpg (GnuPG) 1.2.3)
