By default, $charset doesn't seem to apply to text/html,
when handled by lynx or such. Is there an option, or easy
way, to apply mutt's own iconv conversion to text/html
_before_ piping it to lynx?
With some, hopefully misplaced, astonishment, I realized
that the whole mechanics of charset, assumed_charset, etc.,
does not apply to text/html attachments or bodies at all!
Thus, if you want to read e-mail from Russia in windows-1251,
which is sent overwhelmingly from Outlook or such as HTML,
you'd have to duplicate all such settings in lynx, links,
or w3m, or some such -- with each having its own way to do
the charserts.
I'd almost be sure there's an option "charset_first" or some
such, which applies to MIME messages of type text/* by first
converting everything in sight and then piping it through
MIME handlers...
Cheers,
Alexy
