Deleting all the commented out ones:
color hdrdefault black white

color normal black default # this WORKED on xterm - black letters, white

Also, I have to work with 5.1.18 because I can't so far get the
configuration for
5.1.20 to actually send email. Even
./configure --enable-pop --enable-imap --enable-smtp --with-gss \
--with-ssl --with-sasl
gives me 'No authenticators available' when I try to send. Any clues
would be appreciated! (5.1.18 is from Fink; 5.1.20 is from source.)
