Comment:

 I understand the reasoning here, but the result ends up with me losing
 outgoing mails.  I expect that *everything* mutt sends should end up in
 the $record folder, and this seems like the natural assumption for a mail
 client's configured "Sent" folder.  If this does not hold true, then the
 mutt documentation for $record (and $postponed) should explain this, and
 should explain what to set instead to obtain the desired behavior and
 avoid losing outgoing mail.
