 I have the same problem with zsh's MAILCHECK on 1.5.20.  The logic zsh
 uses is: {{{ st.st_size && st.st_atime <= st.st_mtime && st.st_mtime >
 lastmailcheck }}}.  Applying the patch above fixed the problem for me.
