 ossi's suggestion is reasonable, but it's a fair amount of complexity for
 a rather negligible gain. Mutt does indeed have two classes of tempfiles,
 those sent to the editor (which should use /var/tmp if it exists and
 hasn't been overridden by some setting), and others used for eg viewing
 attachments, decoding messages, etc. So simply changing the default value
 of $tmpdir does not suffice.
