This is something between mutt and your IMAP server killing the connection
(probably a NAT router). Try lowering `$imap_keepalive` to something like
120 or even 60 seconds.
As for reopening the mailbox when the connection is lost, that's bug
#2056. I'm closing this as a duplicate.
