Well, I dared to reply to this bug by mail, even though I now have
ADSL so can linger on the web interface with no extra cost.
1. It said I was anonymous.
2. It mangled my mail, which originally said:

> variable \fC$$$MAIL\fP or \fC$$$MAILDIR\fP if either is defined.
Do mention what happens if both are defined...
}}}
I.e., the ''man'' page should mention what happens when both MAIL and
MAILDIR are found in the environment defined.
