The first works as expected for me. -m is only considered for creating new
folders. With -f, the environment variables don't have any effect on the
mailbox chosen for opening.
The order is: $MAIL else $MAILDIR else Mailpath/Homespool. This can be
overriden by setting $spoolfile in the configuration.
I'd say this isn't a bug, everything works as expected. Hints on how to
improve documentation are welcome, though.
