Comment:

It's still happening with the Jan 9 snapshot, and it happens on three OSX
machines: one intel Tiger, one PPC tiger, and one intel Leopard.

I did what you suggested. The new .muttcerts has fewer certs in it than
 the old one.

The message I get is "Certificate host check failed: certificate owner
does not match hostname myhost". I get the reject/accept/always prompt.
I select "always", but it's only remembered as long as I keep mutt open.

I can't recall whether 1.5.18 gives me that notice and then successfully
remembers the certs, or whether I just don't get it in the first place. I
do recall that I have to hit "always" with 1.5.18 once, but I can't recall
whether it gave me the "host check failed" bit.

I can give more info if you tell me what you want.
