Comment:

 Does this happen with any version or just with the latest one? Can you
 prodive a backtrace to see where exactly mutt crashes and why?

 Also, if that version of mutt is self-compiled, you might want to build it
 with debug support enabled. It would be nice if you could provide the last
 few relevant lines containing the socket traffic...
