Users who use snapshots of mutt should figure this out for themselves. User who use released versions shouldn't be bothered, I guess; can't we provide some functionality that checks whether the cache can be read correctly by mutt, and, if it can't, removes the cache? I suppose that storing some version number with the cache, and bumping it in the mutt code whenever (compatibility breaking) changes to the hcache code occur, should do the trick. And come to think of it, this could work for snapshot users as well.. My 2 cents, -- René Clerc - (rene@xxxxxxxx) - PGP: 0x9ACE0AC7 MISS, n. The title with which we brand unmarried women to indicate that they are in the market. Miss, Missis (Mrs.) and Mister (Mr.) are the three most distinctly disagreeable words in the language, in sound and sense. Two are corruptions of Mistress, the other of Master. -Ambrose Bierce, "The Devil's Dictionary"
