I've only tested automake 1.9.6 and autoconf 2.59.
Automake 1.9 and 2.59 have been around for long enough (more than two
years) that I don't care to test for older stuff.
If it fails, show me the log, automake --version and autoconf --version,
perhaps it's easy to fix, else we'll bump the hard requirements.
End users aren't supposed to need auto* installed anyways, so it only
matters to the hackers.
