     BTW I tried to interactively type ":set my_variable=value" while in
 pager of CVS 2006-06-29, and got "Not available in this menu." and the
 var was not changed. Feature?
 
     The same typed in index does work. But shouts "Sorting mailbox..."
 and redisplays the full index. That is 100% guaranteed unnecessary,
 whatever $my_*, right?
