This PR should be divided to four change-requests.
[1] Workaround against addresses mangling.
[2] Autoview non-copiousoutput types anyway.
[3] Imitate metamail.
[4] Add examples of "mono" on xterm to the manual.

So I don't know where is the problem.

[4] Google tells you a number of good examples.
