mutt 1.5.11 on Mac OS X: scoring broken

Dear all,

I have compiled mutt 1.5.11 on Mac OS X (Xcode 2.1) with
vvv-nntp-Patch. 

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --enable-buffy-size --enable-nntp
--enable-compressed --enable-pop --enable-imap --with-ssl
--with-docdir=/usr/local/share/doc/mutt --sysconfdir=/usr/local/etc
--enable-hcache

Scoring is broken:

set score_threshold_delete=0
set score_threshold_flag=50
set score_threshold_read=15

which I have used for years, and which works with 1.5.10, now result
in a bus error whenever I open a mailbox. Is this a known problem?
How can I help to fix it?
