I don't know what DFW is, but it definitely appears to be something
the server is doing based on IPs:

  $ ncftp ftp.mutt.org
  NcFTP 3.1.5 (Oct 13, 2002) by Mike Gleason (ncftp@xxxxxxxxx).
  Connecting to 82.165.34.161...
  (vsFTPd 2.0.1)
  Logging in...
  Login successful.
  Logged in to ftp.mutt.org.
  ncftp / > cd /pub/mutt/devel
  Directory successfully changed.
  ncftp /pub/mutt/devel > ls
  List failed.
  ncftp /pub/mutt/devel > get mutt-1.5.9i.tar.gz
  get mutt-1.5.9i.tar.gz: server said: Security: Bad IP connecting.

At first I thought it might be because of reverse DNS issues, but my
provider has RDNS set up properly.

Grrr...
