Well, I meant that gpgsm DOES have an option now.
The problem was fixed last year.
You can add "encrypt-to YOURFINGERPRINT" to your ~/.gnupg/gpgsm.conf.

BUT I like your patch.
(I used the word "and", which was confusing. Sorry.)
