base64

G'day,

I got a question here about your base64 implementation.
I found a file base64.c in mutt's source tree which contains this message:

/*
 * Base64 handling elsewhere in mutt should be modified to call
 * these routines. These routines were written because IMAP's
 * AUTHENTICATE protocol required them, and base64 handling
 * elsewhere wasn't sufficiently generic.
 *
 */

Well, I was just about to steal some good generic base64 implementation ;-)
but I really can't get this one to work. The first 3 bytes are OK, but the
rest seems to be gibberish, so before I go further into it I would just like
to confirm that those routines are really working for you since mutt seems to
use other (older?) routines as well. Is this module actively working?

Many greetings...
                 Stephan
