Subject: mutt: "set tunnel" malfunction with ssh
Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2002 15:49:57 +0200

I try to setup tunnel authentication to my imap server with the
following:

        account-hook ^imap://10.0.2.1/ 'set tunnel="ssh 10.0.2.1
/usr/bin/imapd"'

>From the command line "ssh 10.0.2.1 /usr/bin/imapd" works fine:

        argos:~% ssh 10.0.2.1 /usr/bin/imapd
        * PREAUTH Ready.
        INFO: LOGIN, user=user, ip=[127.0.0.1]

However when trying with mutt I get "Connection to 10.0.2.1 closed." and
"imap_check_capabilities []?" status messages.

On the server side here is error message in /var/log/auth:

According to the debian bug log (162859), this is a courier IMAP
issue, not a mutt problem. The debian bug has already been closed.
