Hi
I have noticed the following:
When I hit m to write a new e-mail using vim,
if I take more than 1 hour or so to write the
mail, mutt does not seem to keep the IMAP
session alive! In short, when exit vim :x
and then do P to postpone this e-mail
(to save it to =postponed on IMAP) mutt says
the following:

Disconnected for inactivity.

I then hit e to edit this e-mail again and then
exited vi again (straight away) and tried hitting
P again.

This time mutt said:

Connecting to staff...

But mutt's message never moved on from this (i.e. mutt never told
me that it had successfully reconnected or not.)

So anyway, I went into vi again (probably not necessary)
and exited vi and then hit P for a 3rd time.

This time mutt managed to save it to IMAP
folder =postponed

So eventually all was OK.
(However, before now I have hit send and not
copy of my outgoing mail gets saved to =outgoing
due to this bug!!! So I have lost some outgoing e-mails
in the past as they wre not stored.)

So, something is not quite working right in mutt here.
It seems that one has to hit P 3 times to get mutt
reconnected to IMAP and saving to =postponed.
(I'll try it soon.)

Anyway, here are some relevant settings of mine:

set imap_keepalive=600
(I had also tried mutt with the default (=900) before that)

set spoolfile=imap://staff/INBOX
set folder=imap://staff/INBOX
set mail_check=600
set maildir_trash (doesn't seem to do anything???)
set mbox_type=Maildir
set postponed=+postponed
set suspend
set timeout=60

Hope that helps.

Thanks

Will
