RIAA SUING AGAIN

The Recording Industry Association of America is upset because some
users of the YouTube website are posting videos of themselves,
dancing to music, according a CNBC reporter's blog-posting.
The problem for the RIAA is, the music in the background that
provides their accompaniment hasn't been properly licensed, with fees
paid to RIAA. The Association has issued "cease and desist" letters
to YouTube, ordering them to remove the posted videos or face further
legal action.
The reporter notes that Youtube "is all about expressing yourself in
your own little corner on the net," and compares the RIAA's actions
to a "Big Brother" move, although at least at this point, the
Association has not yet been granted government status. - ST
