I'm certainly no fan of methamphetamine, but a good two-thirds of
Gene Spafford's message sounds like the same cookie-cutter rant we've
been hearing for decades every time someone wants to scare us into
giving up civil rights to combat the scourge of the latest drug. Just
try replacing "meth" with "marijuana" or "ecstasy" (or, for that matter,
"liquor") as you read through it, and you'll see what I mean.
